The amazing Horse Universe. Dracula Danes Domain

I love this place, you have my word that I love it! I can not say exactly what attracts me here, the entire experience this location offers is flawless. These people built their business in detail.

We first came to Danes about 10 years ago and since then, the Dracula Danes Domain is on top when we get to this area, and because we get quite often here, I’ve been able to see how the domain has flourished from year to year. It is surprisingly how this place manages to reinvent itself.

The restaurant is decorated in a classic style, with solid wood furniture and large windows that illuminate the room, with awesome thematic decorations. The wine cellar offers dining alternatives in a warm ambiance, especially during the winter. In the summer, the terraces are full with locals and tourists.

For the pension’s reception, I recommend you to have a few extra minutes to admire the work and the effort of those who arrange the decorations. I spend a few minutes admiring the spring decor arranged here.

The Dracula Danes Domain is located in Danes, 5 km from Sighisoara, on the road that connects Medias and Sighisoara. At the end of the village, on the main road, you will see the indicator that shows you the entrance into the domain.

What’s special about this place is the fact that the owners have not been limited in offering culinary experiences and accommodation, they have created a place where visitors have surprises all the way, here you can spend a whole day without getting bored.

The little farm, riding area for adults and children, playground for children, horse and pony stables, alleys with sunless benches, perfect atmosphere for chilling out moments.

The horse is the symbol of this place, wherever you look you will see statues, decorations, signs, all related to this fascinating animal. I personally felt in love with the horses, the stables being open for those who want to visit. I admired the imposing Heidi, caressed Bella and I wondered how beautiful is Rocky, the long-haired horse. Shakira Pony is the main attraction among the little ones.

Made with passion for this gentle animal, the Equestrian Center is impressive. Cleanliness and order are the words that come to my mind when I think about this place. Country music, caregivers and riding instructors who look like true cowboys, transpose you into a wonderful universe, the Horses’s Universe.

What you can do at Dracula Danes Domain

Horse riding for beginners and advanced. Here you can attend the courses of initiation and improvement in the art of riding. For upgrades, there are organized horse riding circuits.

You can visit the fortified churches from Transylvania (Biertan, Saschiz, Malancrav, Danes, Viscri, Hoghilag), fortresses, castles and mansions (Rupea, Sighisoara, malancrav, Cris).

A walk in nature in the surroundings where you will discover the Natural Reserves from Breite or the fluffy oak reservation from Cris.

Bird Watching – Various bird species can be found in the Tarnavelor area in their natural habitat. A day spent in this natural setting can be an exciting choice for nature lovers.

Equestrian shows are available on request.

Relaxation at the pool where only the guests have access. The swimming pool is not very large but it is definitely a great option to refresh yourself in hot summer days.

For children but also for adults, the little farm is an important attraction. There are various species of birds, Scottish cows, mouflons, blades, camels and others.

Accommodation

The property offers accommodation options in the pension, the inn and the equestrian center.

The pension offers 16 rooms with individual balcony. The inn is located 5 km on the forest road from Dracul Danes Guesthouse, in the middle of nature. And here is a little farm and fishing enthusiasts have a lake at their disposal to try their luck with the bum.

Equestrian Center is close to the hostel and offers rooms or suites with living and sleeping areas.
